Watershed Advocacy

Watershed advocacy helps improve the health and water quality of local streams and rivers. Decisionmakers need to hear directly from those impacted by their water policies, and the organizations we fund help make that possible.

About the Watershed Advocacy Program

Marginalized communities are often most impacted by the lack of water regulations, but social and financial barriers can prevent low-income, diverse community members from having their needs and concerns heard.

The Campbell Foundation is committed to helping overlooked and ignored communities get involved and stay involved in policy-making and advocacy efforts so the watershed regions where they live can have consistently clean, swimmable, and drinkable water.

We support innovative initiatives that work to improve watershed health and build capacity among frontline watershed stewards and restoration practitioners. We also fund partnerships and collaborations among diverse interests, one of the most effective ways we’ve found to advance and enhance watershed health.
