Thanh T. Huynh

Thanh joined the Foundation in 2019 as the Tech Specialist. He is responsible for technical support and information technology projects at the Foundation. In this role, he provides his expertise for Foundation operations and systems that enable grantmaking.

He has a wide range of experience working in the private, nonprofit, and government sectors. In his previous roles, he has recorded weather events, taught computer skills to immigrant seniors, and raised funding.

Born on the island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam, Thanh and his family were part of the thousands of Vietnamese who fled their country by sea following the collapse of the South Vietnamese government in 1975. Known as boat people, they eventually landed in Laemsing Refugee Camp in Thailand where they awaited asylum. They were resettled in Wichita, KS when Thanh was a child. Thanh enlisted in the U.S. Air Force to both give back to his adopted country and find his own path. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Masters in Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
