The Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment is pleased to announce the transition of one of our staff members, Caroline Harper, to the role of Program Associate, Agriculture of the Chesapeake Initiative.
As some of you likely already know, Caroline is not a brand-new employee. She originally supported the Foundation in a temporary role as the Executive Assistant, Chesapeake. As her time in that position was coming to a close, we decided that she was too much of a talent to let go, and offered her a role as Executive and Grants Assistant supporting our Pacific office. Almost two years later, we announced a job opening in our Chesapeake office, Caroline applied, and we selected her for the position.
Caroline will be supporting Alex Echols in the Chesapeake office with all things related to the Foundation’s agriculture program grants, ranging from reviewing materials to becoming immersed in understanding agricultural conservation practices, to working collaboratively with conservation groups, farmers, government agencies, funding partners, and other stakeholders. She’ll also be providing support to the Agriculture portfolio’s Capacity Building program. Caroline will officially transition her duties from supporting the Pacific office to the Chesapeake office on Monday, January 30, 2023.
Caroline brings a background in ecology to the Foundation, supported both by her degree in Biology from Wellesley College and her lifelong love for exploring the outdoors. A graduate of the Chesapeake Conservation Corps program, Caroline has professional experience in environmental education, oyster restoration, and avian and marine fieldwork. Originally from Annapolis, Caroline graduated from high school in Vienna, Austria, and lived and worked across the eastern United States before returning to her hometown by the Chesapeake Bay. She has thoroughly enjoyed supporting the Foundation over the past few years and is very excited to be continuing in a new role.
